    Scarce in any grade and a true rarity in mint state. The 5,000 coins minted during the Civil War saw extensive circulation with an estimated 300 coins surviving in mostly XF to AU condition. This is a beautiful example with vibrant yellow-gold luster framed by a delicate rose tint at the borders. The surfaces are choice with minimal marks and give this coin wonderful eye appeal.
