    Description

    I have received a bunch of antique fans from a friend of mine.  She said her sister was a BIG collector and she has asked me to sell them for her.  I know very little about fans so I will do my best to describe.
    After researching, this is from the Civil War Era.  It looks to be a satin with black embroidered flowers.  The celluloid portion of the fan is intricately engraved.
    It is 12" long and spreads 24" wide.
    There is evident damage but still in good condition - especially taking its age into account. There is a musty odor when opened from years of storage
