Are you a beginning player?
Would you like to be able to play music with other beginners and have fun?
Do you know other beginning players who would like to get together and jam?
Are you tired of having to sit through jams that are too fast or use music you don't know and can't follow?
I
a
m an experienced hammer dulcimer player and teacher. As a beginner, I could never join in a jam. When I would ask if the group could play a slower song for beginners, I was told I'd just have to "listen" and eventually I would "catch on". Not fun. When I was no longer a beginner, I remembered how frustrating and disappointing it was to be a beginner, want to play with others, and not be able to. That's why I arranged this jam music - so beginners can play together and have fun. When I asked to teach a jam workshop with this music at a festival, I was told it was not possible for beginners to jam together and be able to play a song. Not true. In my workshop we played 7 songs in 45 minutes and had people standing outside the workshop area commenting on how good the music sounded. They didn't believe it was a group of beginners. So..........
With this music you can jam with beginners and have fun.
You don't have to read music. Just use the name of the note written on the song sheet.
If you can play in the Key of D, everything you need to play together is on the song sheet.
You and your friends just need to have an instrument that plays in the key of D
AND BE READY TO HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
