    Description

The bundle is the LAST music score reader you’ll ever need. This is a COMPLETE outfit for the complete accompanist/pianist/musician! Especially suited for the pianist/accompanist on the move. Never lug around a notebook of music again. You will never have to worry about procuring another person to help turn your pages! With ForScore (not included, but downloadable for ), with page turning in split page view, one needn’t worry as to WHEN the page is turned, since you can turn it
    1⁄2
page before it’s needed, eliminating the need for exact timing of the turn. AND, if you use ForScore, all of your annotations can be made with your Apple Pencil, with your custom color, size, transparency, etc.
Each of these iPad bundles weighs about 2 lbs. (ipad, case, pencils, cords, charging modules, and pedals) Can you imagine carrying over 7,000 pieces of music around in a two-pound package?!? I’ve loaded 7K pieces of music (choral, piano, instrumental) onto these devices, and have used less than
    1⁄2
of the available memory (and that is even with a large collection of apps sharing the available storage).
So, if this bundle is so great, why am I selling it? I’m an organist, and when I heard that the newer iPads with facial recognition would effect page turns with facial gestures, I jumped in with both feet. But, I will say, it’s taking me a little practice to line up my face with the camera and twitch just right to turn the page. That, and, those watching my face think I have developed a nervous disorder. Most of my other jobs involve the piano, and I have been using this setup since 2018, and the use of the pedal has now become second nature.
Why two iPads? It’s digital technology, and with anything digital, it would be less than prudent to walk into a performance without a backup. Before I bought the second iPad, I kept a hard copy of the music on stage as backup. I know some musicians who still do. But, before long, it made sense to carry a second iPad as backup, because ALL of the notations and changes you make to the iPad score can, in a matter of seconds, be transferred to your backup pad. And I carried not just a second iPad – but a second and complete iPad “music package” – complete with a separate pedal, charging cables, Apple pencil, and all of the cases, covers, etc. that went with it. I kept the second iPad, fully charged, open to the first page, with the pedal on top, paired and ready to go. That being said (knock on wood), I have never had to reach for the second iPad – EVER! Both of these iPads are ROCK SOLID, having provided support for countless rehearsals, and many concerts and recitals (I work for two departments at a large (c. 20K) university. And transferring a complete playlist, along with ALL of your (color-coded) annotations, takes a matter of SECONDS if you use AirDrop!
Another “secret” for accompanists (using ForScore): If you are ever in recital or jury, do you ever fret about starting a piece with the wrong tempo (or, the soloist thinking you did)? NO MORE! By assigning a button and a metronomic setting to the button, you can specify how many measures you would like it to count before it stops. Right before starting the piece, tap the colored button on the screen and the border of the score will pulse (silently) with the correct EXACT tempo. Makes it easy to nail the tempo every time!
By the way, when I last purchased ForScore, it was retailing at the “whopping” price of .99! I think the present price is closer to .

All of the equipment listed has been lovingly cared for. However, it was used nearly every day, so three years of wear-and-tear (albeit, loving, gentle wear-and-tear) will testify to it being used and not in NIB condition. So, here is a list of exceptions to “perfect.”
The iPad are gently used. They have been protected by their EcoGuard cases since I purchased them. The screens are quite clean – no scratches, no cracks. They have performed without a glitch up to and including today. That said, I cannot offer a warranty – I am not an authorized dealer, but what I am selling you worked/works flawlessly for me.
The EcoGuard cases – there is a scratch on one. They are gently used. They no longer make this case, which is a shame – I would buy them for my newer iPads if they were available. I’m also a woodworker, so I love their classy, genuine wood appearance. They stand out from the black/grey plastic/vinyl cases that are so abundant. I would have kept them for myself, but the camera openings do not fit the newer iPads. There MAY be a small piece of the clear plastic missing around the cutouts, but I could not find it to take a picture of it.
The handle to one of the cloth carrying cases is quite frayed. (It’s the primary one I used every day.) The buyer should use their own discretion as to the safety of continued use. I’m including it AS IS. Two of the leather zipper tabs to each case have been painted (white/black) so I could keep straight which pedal/pencil/iPad belonged to each other (so I didn’t have to keep pairing them every time I used them). In addition, the cases for the pencils were color-coded the same say. There is also a painted dot on the pedals.
Each iPad will come fully erased, but with the latest iOS loaded and ready to go. You will also have to purchase ForScore (from the app store) if you plan on using it. If you have already worked with ForScore, than this will be a welcome kit to complete your portable music library. I used to have a shelf of notebooks, one for each ensemble. Now, I now longer worry if I’ve packed all of my music for the next rehearsal – I carry it in one package! The utility of turning pages without taking your hands off the keyboard greatly improves your performance. The backlighting and enlarging of the music makes your scores far easier to read AND you can read them regardless of the ambient light levels (or lack thereof) around you. Having read many a score in a dark pit, I can tell you, it’s much easier to read off an iPad. And the 12.9” screen is the largest screen available. If you haven’t used ForScore for your music/accompanying, this will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! And this bundle will include EVERYTHING you need to get started, whether you’re starting from “scratch,” or you’re a seasoned ForScore user.
I will have your order in the mail on the first business day that you order, so you won’t have to wait long. These both have worked flawlessly for me, but I do not accept returns, since I have no control over their handling once they leave my home. But my feedback rating should attest to my trustworthiness.
    Thanks for bidding.
