Limoges Hand Painted Powder Jar with Arts & Crafts Flower Design, La Seynie

Description

American handpainted porcelain powder jar on a Limoges blank.  The design is in the Arts & Crafts or Art Nouveau style.  The base paint is a pale ombre, changing from pink to green to blue around the piece.  This was most likely purchased as a blank piece and painted by an amateur artist - the workmanship is a bit rough on the flower design.  The bottom is marked La Seynie Limoges P and P France.  Measures 6" diameter, and 3" tall.  Unfortunately, there is a hairline spider on the bottom - I have tried to capture it in the photos.  Still a lovely piece.
