    This is an INCREDIBLE lot with a VERY RARE
    genuine original
    1969 "Statement of Club Ownership And Affiliations" between the International League's Buffalo Bisons baseball team and Major League Baseball's iconic Washington Senators team. This four page contract on thin translucent paper likely came from local Buffalo files, as other copies were sent to the offices of MLB's Commissioner of Baseball and the Washington Senators. It is GENUINELY signed on the last page by John W.C. Guthrie, who was President of the Buffalo Bisons; "Jack" Guthrie was also President of Coaches Association All-American Football Game, and Vice President of Rich ADvertising, all of Buffalo, NY. This outstanding piece of baseball history is in terrific condition; the images provided were made with a black piece of paper set behind the thin papers when scanning took place. 1969 was an especially historic time for the minor league Bisons, as Héctor López became the first black manager at the Triple-A level that year while managing Buffalo—six years before Frank Robinson became the first black manager in Major League Baseball.
