Very Nice Mint Cedar Creek Appalachian Dulcimer and Case, Shroud, Spare Strings

This Dulcimer looks to be all walnut.
Extra nice looking finish. I especially like the back where they split the wood and “folded it open” to give a reflecting left and right side. This dulcimer comes with a case, shroud and an extra set of strings. Size and particulars are exactly as quoted from the website.

QUOTE The hourglass shape or “Double Box” gives the Cedar Creek what we like to call “stereo sound”. The high and low tone chambers are separated by the narrow waist producing more volume and a balanced treble/bass sound, while the deep box preserves a pleasing mellow tone. The top (or soundboard) is solid wood in your choice of Walnut, Cherry, or Maple. The back and sides are birch laminate with a solid walnut head, tail and fretboard. Features: 4 strings, geared tuners, nickel silver frets, clear semi-gloss finish, 2 1/2 octaves 6 1/2 and 13 1/2 frets. Dimensions are 35 1/2″ long, 6 1/4″ wide upper chamber, 7 3/4″ wide lower chamber, 2 1/4″ sound box depth, 3″ overall depth including the fretboard. UNQUOTE I measured the "scale" length from top nut to bottom nut at centers and it is 28 inches; plus or minus 1/16 inch. Also checked the website dimensions; factual.
This one has at least two interior braces at both of the widest parts of the hourglass shape. You will be able to see them peeping through the holes on receipt. Everything is secure and works perfectly. Metal parts extra nice. Although the strings look and sound good, I am including a new spare set as shown in images. The case is a basic cardboard one but in good condition. Metal hardware tarnished and losing color and exterior has a few bumps. Closes and latches well.
If I do overlook something significant, I will resolve it. Stands, props, or other items that may be seen are not included unless specified. Ask questions before you bid please. I answer quickly and always within 24 hours; normally much sooner.

I never photoshop my
images. Sorry if some have shadows. I put the dulcimer in the sheath and closed the drawstring at end. Placed that in a bag type foam protector and placed in the case. Foam protector minimizes movement inside the case during shipping. Put the spare strings on top and closed case; latches secured. Images may show some dust from sitting and maybe a few dog hairs from my Rescue Pups; brushed off most of the dog hair and dust prior to packing.
Placed in shipping box and lots of shredded cardboard sheets and some flat cardboard packing to fill voids all around. Tap
ed box very well. Box is 9 by 20 by 42 weighing 17 pounds. Bright TOP OF LOAD and DO NOT LAY FLAT stickers on both sides of box. Packed and ready to ship.
Remember both UPS and USPS round up the dimension and weight to the next whole inch or pound to calculate shipping of packages. The dimensional weight will normally determine the shipping cost as volume is almost always the main factor in shipping packages. Bright DO LAY FLAT and TOP LOAD ONLY stickers on both sides of shipping box. I will ship via UPS with the first 0 of insurance free under UPS basic rates. If the item is offered to be shipped USPS Priority Mail that also includes 0 free coverage. With UPS or USPS Priority Mail shipping, I cover all insurance costs over 0. There is no insurance charge to the buyer; buyer only pays actual shipping cost. If damaged upon receipt you agree to process any claim. I will assist and support any possible claim. That is allowed by UPS and USPS. Be sure to take photos of the box and any item damage. I have not processed a UPS or USPS claim since 2013 as I pack very well. I think the 2013 USPS claim was bogus; but watcha gonna do? I put accurate sizes and weights for the shipping calculations. I do not pad the size or weight to get extra funds through excess shipping costs. You can check these against shipping costs at their websites. Do not ding me for shipping cost as the size and weight is revealed in this listing for you to check the shipping cost before you bid. Both UPS and USPS have apparently instituted weekend “stops” of their shipments as there is a shortage of quality employees who want to earn a living. This does entail a weekend delay in many instances. I normally am not able to ship on a weekend or holiday; not considered a business / shipping day by eBay rules. Sometimes I can ship on a weekend or holiday; no guarantees. Request do not ding me for shipping time as I always ship in one or two business days and I have no control on the actual movement or the transit time of the shipped items.
