Hand-Made Vintage John Maxwell crafted Mountain Dulcimer
I am offering a rare hand crafted mountain dulcimer made by John Maxwell. Condition is very nice, as pictured. Comes with hardshell case, and items pictured in the case as well.
Serial number is 2713. It is also signed by John Maxwell quite clearly inside, although it was very hard to picture. Signature is clean and clear.
This dulcimer appears quite unique to me in that it has sound holes in the neck in a circular pattern, like a sound radiator. This was not my personal instrument, but, as you can see, I see quality items, and represent them accurately to the best of my ability. This instrument looks to have been stored for some time, in the case, as the tuners look stunning. Very minor marks only on the body.
Item is sold as is, and guaranteed as described. There are no issues or cracks, and overall the instrument appears to be a magnificent hand crafted limited edition dulcimer made by John Maxwell.

*NOTE
Included in this package is a
newspaper
article from the HERALD CITIZEN in Cookeville about John
Maxwell from 1980. He made dulcimers for 14 years, and 2800 instruments. Newspaper article is is fine condition as well.
John Maxwell displayed his work at the Smithsonian in 1968 and was invited back for a second show the following year.
AND,...it comes with a rare "45" record in very good condition of the song "Buffalo Gal" on Breeze Records by
"John Maxwell and his Craftsmen".
