    Description

For sale is a complete Walking Liberty Short Set (1941-1947) in a new Capital Plastics set holder.  The first photo shows the front side of the set in its set holder.
Walking Liberty half dollars are widely considered one of the most beautiful silver coins the United States has ever struck. The Walking Liberty half dollar was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and was issued from 1916 through 1947 and became one of the most popular coins of all time.
The complete set of Walking Liberty halves (1916-1947) is expensive and very hard to find in higher grades.  Many collectors start with the 1941-1947 short set, which numbers only 20 coins, and is currently findable in higher grades.
This Walking Liberty Short Set is mounted in a new Capital Plastics set holder.  Each mint and year combination is printed on the holder, which is fastened between two clear plastic sheets.  The coin labels are hightly reflective, and they are perfectly formed even though they photograph with difficulty.
The individual coins in the set grade between 64 and 65 for obverse sides and almost all 65 for the reverse sides.  All are brilliant uncirculated with the exception of the 1941-P coin, which is uncirculated and is lightly toned on its obverse right side.
The 1941-S coin is the key of this short set.  NGC lists it at 0 in grade 65.  That's four to five times the value of some of the more common members of the short set in grade 65.  The second and third photos show the obverse and the reverse of 1941-S coin.
For your reference a complete short set of Walking Liberties lists at 86 for NGC 63, 62 for NGC 64, and 25 for NGC 65.  So the set offered here is priced between grades 64 and 65.
The obverse sides of the 1942-S, 1943-S, and 1944-S are shown in the subsequent photos.  All are high-value coins that are hard to find in higher uncirculated grades.
The obverses of all the coins in this short set are shown in the four following photos.  All the coins are remarkably clean of marks and all show high luster.
The coin set you see is the coin set you will receive.  All coins are guaranteed to be genuine.  Free shipping by USPS Priority Mail. Please feel free to ask any questions or make any comments.
